This restaurant is quite the hidden gem. My wife and I frequent Juan Pablo's. The owner is often working the counter and is a really nice guy. The service is great and the food is always to our taste. If you get the tacos get the soft shells.
This place is really good. Ordered the Carna Asada tacos and they were absolutely delicious with a moist texture and cilantro. Their salsa bar is extensive with six different varieties. The creamy chipotle sauce was the best. The only complaint I had is $10 seems like a lot for two small Mexican style tacos with rice and beans. Give me three tacos and this review would be a five star.
A fresh salsa bar stocked with a variety of salsas with varying flavors and spicy levels. Add to that their bacon wrapped shrimp and you are in for a fun, delicious experience. Definitely worth a try!
Food was delicious. Atmosphere was clean and nicely decorated.
Great lunch special
Decor is tastier than food. Interior nicer than modest exterior. Virgin daiquiris very good. Salsa bar appreciated but not sufficient to cure the tortilla soup or fajitas. Slightly pricey.
We don't know this area well so we decided to Google local restaurants before heading home. We decided to try this one out and it did NOT disappoint! I'll be making my way out here more often now.
My husband and I go here every few months or so. We have never been disappointed. Our food has always come out quick and hot. Friendly staff and delicious food.
Was pleasantly greeted and sat immediately. Many of the dishes here are delicious and I'm always down to go try another!
Wow!!! That Lamb Stew is so delicious and wholesome, we like salsa varieties just so good , Juan Pablo fresh make himself. You can taste like homemade not from the franchise. Inside restaurant has many interesting decorations, worth the visits.
Nice ambiance, authentic food, good variety of sauces. The place is clean and hygienic. Must visit for some good Mexican food.
Juan Pablo's was pretty good. I liked the chimichanga that I ordered for the lunch special and thought that the portions were just right. The staff was great. I assume that it was Juan that took our orders, he was friendly and welcoming. Was this the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been, no. But, it was far from the worst. I would not hesitate to go again. Thanks Juan
Came here for lunch while visiting friends in Ogden. It doesn't look like much but looks can be deceiving. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The menu has a good selection of reasonably priced food. The meal itself was delicious and there was plenty of food to fill me up. We enjoyed the salsa bar with many different varieties to try. Next time I'm in Ogden, I'll be stopping by for more!
Great food with authentic taste. The salsa is amazing with heat levels 1-10. The creamy avocado salsa was my favorite. Their enchiladas were fantastic!! I would go again!
Definitely our favorite restaurant! The service is awesome and they are so friendly. The owners walk around making sure you are satisfied. The prices are great, especially for the quality. Everything is fresh and I've yet to try something didn't like.
Great very authentic! Felt like I was in Mexico again! salsa bar was one of best I've ever been to! huge borritos!
We love Juan's. Our week is not complete without eating here. Best food, good prices, great portions, friendly, and a great salsa bar. Never a disappointment.
Good variety at the salsa bar and well portioned lunch special.
Food is so delicious and authentic! Staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back!
My first experience upon arriving was using a dirty bathroom with no soap. I looked in both bathrooms and neither had soap. I asked a woman working for some soap and she brought out a bottle of hand sanitizer that was also empty. The service was also really slow. We got our food several minutes after the others in our party, and their food came slow too. I figured that the food would be amazing based on how long they spent cooking it, but my burrito was soggy. My husband ordered a combo with three items. He enjoyed the chimichanga the most, but it only had cheese at one end.
This is a really good place, is casual style, but the food is amazing, if they are busy the food take a little bit more time but it’s ok for me and mi buddy and I am so happy when they are busy, we love your food
The best Mexican food in ogden.
My second visit in 2-3 weeks. I arrived during open hours, after a snowstorm, there was one car in the parking lot so I excitedly assumed that was an employee. Disappointed because restaurant was locked with no sign of closure visabily posted. My first experience was five star beginning at the register (where orders are placed) through to the last bite. As a result, I only deducted one star for being fooled and being unsuccessful and disappointed after a planed outing here. If there was some way to notify online application of closure I would have not made the trip. I did look online and that said they were open.
So good! Reasonable prices for a lot of food!
I had the lunch special and it was awesome! Our server was very friendly and did a great job.
The food was really good. Plenty of food to eat. The service was also very good. Prices are reasonable. They also have a good variety of salsa for the chips. I would recommend coming here for a good experience.
What a cute place. Awesome service and wonderful food!
I paid $16 for enchiladas and a drink. The plate was too hot to touch but the food was cold. I wanted so badly to love this place but I can’t even lie the food tasted terrible! The shredded chicken tasted like the kind you buy canned. Overall the enchiladas were bland and soggy. The rice had definitely been in the fridge for a couple of days. I’m not a picky eater at all but I can’t not say something about this. It was just really, really bad.
Nice price, good variety of lunch specials, salsa bar with chips!
Excellent food and service. I come here several times a month and never leave disappointed. Salsa bar is great!!
Always wonderful meals and always a welcome smile from the owner. Awesome place!
Best Mexican in Ogden! The salsa bar is delish and the food is all amazing!
Absolutely lovely. It reminded me of home. The food was delicious and the employees were sweet and kind. It is without a doubt, my new favorite restaurant. Looking forward to many more meals here!
Great service.
This place is amazing. The food was great and so was the service. The cook came back to check on us and was very nice/thoughtful every time making sure our orders were correct and tasted great. I highly recommend and will be back.
Food was excellent! Reasonably priced. Staff was very nice and service was great.
What a great little place! Our food was delicious, and the service was pleasant. Chips and salsa bar were a slam dunk, and our main dish was tender and flavorful!
Yummy! Excellent service.
Truly authentic good tasting Mexican food. Not just enchiladas and tacos like the others but really good options others may not have tried . Service is order up front then they bring you out the food.
Delicious! Amazing staff... If you haven't been... You definitely need to try Juan's!
My family and I stopped here while passing through Ogden. I'm from Texas and my husband and I live in Austin so I had EXTREMELY low expectations. The service was fast and friendly (good house salsa and complimentary chips!), and the food was actually incredibly delicious. I had Al pastor tacos that were absolutely amazing. Some of my favorite ever. My husband has tamales he loved, and my mother in law said she loved her burrito. We would definitely be back. This place is legit and they know what's up!
Very good food. Great value for the money!
Good food. One of the few places you can get something akin to pork al pastor. They don't make it on a spit traditional style so there's something lost there but it is still pretty good.
Great food and gracious hosts. We went in with a party of 9, and the food came out quickly and hot. The cook(I think he is then owner?) brought out some delicious jalapenos that I dont believe were on the menu-they weren't hot at all! Great food, great prices, I will definitely be back!!!
My new favorite place. Nice people, great food!
I love the food. Never had a bad meal. Always has been fantastic food and atmosphere.
The food was good, and the service friendly and prompt. You order and pay before you get your meal, and they ask for a tip up front. I thought that was weird, and paid the tip after they performed. They also have a salsa bar to choose from when eating the tortilla chips served with each meal. Price was $8 - 12 per entree. I liked it, but I didn't love it.
People of pleasant view and North Ogden Support this local business in Harrisville on 89 so it sticks around!!!! Juan Pablo is always here, a great cook and a really nice guy. For as good as the food is his please should be full. I think I just always forget it is here. 9am to 8:30pm. One block north of the 89 turn to Orion jr. I have no other motivation for this post other than keeping one of our good food option close to home. If we don't use it we will lose it... Like my abs.
Unsuspecting little place that I had visited in its previous life as a fish and chips joint. Pleasant and quiet with GREAT authentic food. Both the tacos and burrito were delicious. Had fun tasting the variety of salsas available with our chips. Will definitely be back again!
The tacos al pastor were my favorite. And their enchilada sauce is amazing, too. Salsa bar is okay; I think their house salsa is the best of them all
